Currently I am experiencing issues with the sitemap being appended to my search console in Google.
I am receiving this issue after submitting the sitemap.xml located at http://autobedrijfvugts.nl/sitemap.xml. (the one being generated by Yoast Plugin)
The following error occurs:
Your sitemap does not appear to have a supported file format. Make sure your sitemap meets our sitemap guidelines and resubmit it.
I added this to the wp-cache ignore section since after a google search WP-cache could be a problem:
sitemap(_index)?\.xml(\.gz)?
([a-z0-9_\-]+)?sitemap\.xsl
[a-z0-9_\-]+-sitemap([0-9]+)?\.xml(\.gz)?
Anyway, the problem isn;’t fixed yet and I am out of solutions. Could anybody help me out with this issue?
