Hello,
my customer wishes to have a second language version of his already existing wp site (many pages, portfolio etc.).
For this purpose he engaged a company seemingly specialized in doing webpage translations.
They sent me a complete xml file containing the desired second language.
They are also willing to help and answer questions. Yet, I’d like to avoid to ask stupid ones, so I am looking for some basic advice here.
I did some research around in the web but I have to admit I am quite confused by the complex way that plugIns as WPML seem to work and I am wondering if in my case this is the right way to go, at all. (Seems they are made for maintaining complex multi language sites and posts)
What would the best way to choose here in my case? Most of the content will remain untouched in the future it is mainly a quite static webpage. (not a client who wants to post in continuity).
I wonder how the in what way ever duplicated pages, portfolios etc. may be fitted with all the correct linkings.
Anyone with some helping ideas for me?
