Hi all! I am a newbie to WP. I just installed XAMPP, set up MySQL database for WP and installed WordPress on my computer in order to learn how to create WordPress theme(s). I followed this tutorial.
Upon installation, I followed step 33 of the above tutorial and downloaded and installed WordPress XML file (link) which contains some test data.
Now, I activated twentyfifteen WP theme and everything works fine, except that most of the photos are not showing at all. Some photos are there, but most are not!? I tried to install 8 or 9 other free WordPress themes and the same thing happens - when I activate the theme(s) the posts, comments, tables or anything text related shows and works fine but most photos are missing. Infact, the info from that test data XML file is shown in any WordPress theme that I install and activate, so those themes look different, not only because they are missing photos which are not showing for some reason but also because of this test data XML file (which modifies the content of those themes).
I searched for the solution on how to get those photos and themes look and work as they should but nothing works so far. Not sure if that XML file I installed to test data is the problem (if it is, how can I delete it?) or there is something else I am missing? How can I get the themes look as they should with all the photos? Thanks in advance!
